'The real extremists and terrorists in multiracial Malaysia are born, bred and indoctrinated by none other than Umno, especially under the reign of Mahathir Mohamad.'
On Zaid vs Khairy on Al Jazeera
Hamisu: It's true! Khairy Jamaluddin happily lives in la-la land. First off, when we look at multiracial Malaysia, who are the extremists? I can see there was a clarion call to bathe the keris with Chinese blood. This happened more than once. Would this act not amount to terrorism?
Secondly, let's look at the recent Utusan Malaysia fiasco. In order to 'preserve harmony', Utusan decides to fan racial sentiments. Who is actually out to get the Malays? Search within your own kinsmen for the answer.
ISA is nothing but rubbish. According to Khairy's dictionary, extremists and terrorists seem to encompass people who speak for natural justice, people who would like to create Bangsa Malaysia, people who abhor corruption, people who have a better vision of a non-racial Malaysia.
Khairy should wake up. The real extremists and terrorists in multiracial Malaysia are born, bred and indoctrinated by none other than Umno, especially under the reign of Mahathir Mohamad. Look no further. The real terrorists and extremists are in Umno's own backyard.
Lonestar: I, for one, awaits the ISA amendments with bated breath. Knowing the past actions of the BN government, the rakyat will not be consulted. Our MPs will be given the amendments at the last moment before they are allowed to be debated for a matter of hours and with the BN majority, the amendments would be passed. Remember the recent passage of the DNA bill?
What is wanted is for the abhorrent ISA to be abolished in its present form where the rakyat can be ISAed to their own protection! Have a new anti-terror act if the rakyat deems it a necessity. Even then have the rakyat consulted or at the least their MPs allowed to have inputs before the act is formulated and passed.
The ISA in its present form and usage has to go. And to achieve that, the peaceful marches need to continue. Those who are pro-ISA are also welcomed to continue their peaceful marches. [Full Articles In Malaysiakini]
